Meditation - Photographed June 2013, Avenue of the Giants, Weott, California.
 
While walking through this ancient grove of redwoods, I noticed a monk seated in meditation at the base of one of the giant old-growth trees. Standing there I felt a sense of stillness and connection, settling my mind for a few moments as I gazed on.
